Dr. Wang Zhongfang,

Wang Zhongfang, Director of the Guangzhou Laboratory Biologics Test and Evaluation Center, Leading Talent of "Ten Thousand Plan" -National High Level Talents Special Support Plan, Pearl River Scholar Distinguished Professor, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security High-Level Overseas Talent (2019), Professor of the Guangzhou National Laboratory and the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease, and doctoral supervisor. Since returning to China in 2018, as the principal investigator, Zhongfang Wang has successively led 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and 3 key projects of Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation. Over the past five years, Zhongfang Wang has published 44 SCI papers, with 17 of them having an impact factor greater than 10 as the first author or corresponding author, and a total citation counts of over 1300. Zhongfang Wang’s main research is focused on T-cell immunology, particularly in the context of acute viral infections (such as influenza virus, SARS-CoV-2) and latent viral infections (CMV, EBV after bone marrow or solid organ transplantation), and their roles in the antiviral mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment.
